Anyone looking at the previous post will realise what a consummate
liar David Bain could be.
Mrs Clark's evidence only came to hand after the first trial.She came forward when she heard about the Court of Appeal hearings,apparently.She was at the first trial and heard David Bain's replies to the Crown prosecutor.
One has to remember also that David Bain had told his lawyer that he would be admitting to wearing those glasses on the weekend of the murders.His lawyer had mentioned this to the Crown prosecutor,and it came as a surprise to both men when David Bain took the stand and denied that he had been wearing them.
This piece of evidence alone was one of the reasons why David Bain was not allowed to take the stand at the retrial.He would not have been able to have stood up to cross-examination.
