  1. Mr Weir is probably busy on the phone. Mike Stockdale calls him for his little 'chats'. Milton may be getting quite a distorted perspective of how his putative book might be received, if the counterspinners are the ones he is using as a guide.

Mr Weir, a word of advice: Keep your head down and your nose clean. You have made some bad decisions in the past: learn from them!

  2. There's a clear picture of Miltion abroad, and of the construction of the MOJ against David, all the ommissions and special 'finds' which by strange 'coincidence' always made things worse for David. Those weren't accidents and either therefore was the resulting MOJ.
Milton could help the issue of Justice a great deal and be recognised for the courage in doing so. The truth, the absolute truth, he wasn't the architect of the MOJ, he wasn't in charge, he did get hung out to dry but he would do the Police and the Public the world of good by breaking that code of silence that Muerant has written about and give all the Police and aspiring Police a fresh start without the cases that won't go away hanging around their necks. New Zealand is ready for it, ready for the truth and for reality.

  3. Nostalgia, that is an excellent idea!

Mr Weir, if you are reading this, you should seriously consider this. If you want to redeem your reputation, this sort of approach would be a good start. And readership for a book of this sort would be much greater than for one that may be seen as simply self-justification and making excuses.

Everyone can make mistakes. And you and the other cops investigating made a very simple and very common mistake, but one with profound consequences. You were right: it was unlikely that Robin Bain would have done what he did. Your mistake was simply that you and the others thought it therefore must have been David, and set out to prove that. Instead, you should have looked in turn at how unlikely it was that David did it.

Time to clean up, Mr Weir. You have a choice here, a chance. What's it going to be, Milton? Which way are you going to go? Who do you want to be, Milton?

  4. And on the subject of corrupt cops. What a dung heap that bullshit castle is.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rob Pope
Police have defended their appointment of a senior officer, the alleged subject of claims of sexual harassment,
Superintendent Gary Smith, the former Bay of Plenty district commander, was the subject of a claim of sexual harassment
police reached a confidential settlement with Sarah Lindsay of Whakatane, whose allegations were investigated by Howard Broad,

I could have believed that all was above board until it was revealed Broad was involved. http://www.thebriefingroom.com/archives/2007/08/to_serve_and_pr.html

Weir holds the key to what happened at Avery Street in particular what happened in the three hours they had the place shut down. Grow a spine Weir and come forward tell every one what really happened.

And as far as the truth coming from the cops themselves as long as perverts like Broad are assigned to the top position we will never hear the truth. It has been suggested that Pope is next in line and from a police point of view that has to happen to keep their dirty filthy secretes.

The sooner we are rid of this trash in our police force the better.
